  • Arabic into Malayalam from Standard Arabic, Gulf, Saudi, Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi or Moroccan text.
  • Your Arabic shown again with vowel marks and in chat-style Latin letters.
  • A Listen button that reads the Arabic with the voice on your phone or computer; Copy takes the Malayalam.
  • Up to 1,000 characters per request; swap the arrow for Malayalam to Arabic.

Why Arabic to Malayalam is tricky

Arabic reaches Malayalam readers from two directions. One is the Gulf, where a large share of Kerala families have someone working; the other is the madrasa, where Standard Arabic comes with vowels and set phrases. A sponsor's message in Saudi Arabic and a line of a dua need different handling, and the dialect menu is how you tell the tool which one you have.

  • No vowels in everyday Arabic. كتب can be kataba, kutub or kutiba; the model picks by context and prints its reading with harakat so you can check it.
  • Dialect words. Saudi أَبْغَى (abgha, I want), Gulf شْلُونَك (shloonak, how are you) and Egyptian إِزَّاي (izzaay, how) are not Standard Arabic; choose the dialect and they translate properly.
  • Sentence shape. Arabic puts the verb first and uses prepositions; Malayalam puts the verb last and attaches case endings to nouns, so the translation is rebuilt rather than mapped word by word.
  • Arabic words Malayalam already knows. حَلَال (7alaal), سَلَام (salaam) and دُنْيَا (dunyaa) exist in Malayalam as ഹലാൽ, സലാം and ദുനിയാവ്, but most of a sentence will not be loanwords, and the model does not rely on them.

Tips for better results

Set the dialect by the sender: Saudi for Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, Gulf for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, Standard Arabic for religious text and official letters. Paste the whole message; context fixes the vowels. Arabic typed in English letters with digits (kaif 7alak, mashi) is understood; paste it as it came. To answer, open Malayalam to Arabic and keep the same dialect. The Saudi Arabic page lists the Najdi and Hejazi words you will meet. The Arabic to English page is useful when English is the easier bridge, and Arabic transliteration explains the Latin letters under every result.

Frequently asked questions

Does Google Translate do Arabic to Malayalam?

Yes, for Standard Arabic. It has no dialect setting and does not show your Arabic with vowels or in Latin letters; this page does both. Both are machine translation and can be wrong.

Can it translate Saudi or Gulf Arabic into Malayalam?

Yes. Choose the dialect of your text in the menu above the box before you press Translate.

Can I get the meaning in English as well?

Yes; change the target language to English, or open the Arabic to English page. The Arabic with harakat and the transliteration appear either way.

Can I paste Arabic without vowel marks?

Yes, that is the normal case. The translation comes back with your text voweled, so you can see how each word was read.

Is the Arabic to Malayalam translator free?

Yes. There is a daily free limit shared by the whole site; no account, and nothing is stored.
