- Persian to Arabic in Standard Arabic or in Iraqi, Gulf, Saudi, Levantine, Egyptian or Moroccan.
- Harakat on every result, which matters because Persian readers know the letters but not the Arabic vowels.
- Chat-style transliteration (3 for ayn, 7 for the hard h) and a Listen button using your device's Arabic voice.
- Up to 1,000 characters per request; swap the arrow for Arabic to Persian.
Why Persian to Arabic is tricky
Persian is written in the Arabic alphabet plus four letters of its own, پ چ ژ گ, and roughly a third of its everyday vocabulary came from Arabic. An Iranian can read an Arabic sign; understanding it is another matter, because the two languages are unrelated and the shared words have moved.
- Letters you pronounce one way, Arabic another. Persian says z for ذ ز ض ظ and s for ث س ص; Arabic keeps them apart, and ع is a real consonant rather than a pause. The transliteration line shows the Arabic sounds.
- Shared words with other meanings. Persian ta'arof is the ritual of polite offering; Arabic تَعَارُف (ta3aaruf) is getting acquainted. Persian kasif is "dirty"; Arabic كَثِيف (katheef) is "dense". The model translates the sense.
- Verb last, verb first. Persian ends with the verb (man be bazar miravam); Standard Arabic usually starts with it (أَذْهَبُ إِلَى السُّوقِ, adhhabu ilaa s-sooq).
- Gender. Persian u means he or she and verbs do not change; Arabic needs to know, and changes the verb and the word for "you". The tool adds a note when it assumes.

Tips for better results
Pick Iraqi for Najaf, Karbala and Baghdad, Gulf for Dubai and Kuwait, Saudi for the Hajj and Umrah cities, Standard Arabic for reading and writing. Add "to a woman" or "to a man" when the Persian sentence does not say. Use short sentences; Persian compound verbs (anjam dadan, harf zadan) are handled better one at a time. Persian names keep their spelling in most cases (رِضَا, مَرْيَم), but check on the name in Arabic page when the vowels matter. The reverse direction is Arabic to Persian; Iraqi Arabic shows the words that differ from Standard Arabic, and Arabic transliteration explains the Latin letters under every result.
Frequently asked questions
Is Farsi the same as Persian?
Yes. Farsi is the Persian name of the language spoken in Iran; Dari in Afghanistan and Tajik in Tajikistan are close varieties. Type any of them and choose Persian in the language menu.
Does Google Translate do Farsi to Arabic?
Yes, into Standard Arabic without vowel marks and without a dialect option. This page adds the dialect menu, harakat and transliteration; both are machine translation and can be wrong.
Can I translate Persian into Iraqi Arabic?
Yes. Choose Iraqi in the dialect menu; the Standard Arabic line stays under the result so you can compare.
Why does the Arabic have vowel marks when Persian doesn't?
Arabic also drops them in everyday writing, but a learner cannot read a new word without them, so the tool writes every short vowel in. A toggle hides them if you want the plain text.
Is the Persian to Arabic translator free?
Yes, with a daily free limit for the whole site. No account, and your text is not stored.
