What you get on this page

  • Arabic to Tagalog from Standard Arabic, Saudi, Gulf, Egyptian, Levantine, Iraqi or Moroccan text.
  • Your Arabic shown again with vowel marks and in chat-style Latin letters.
  • Listen reads the Arabic with the voice on your phone or computer; Copy takes the Tagalog.
  • Up to 1,000 characters per request; the swap arrow gives you Tagalog to Arabic.

Why Arabic to Filipino is tricky

The Arabic a Filipino reader receives is usually practical: a message from an employer, a note from a clinic, a sign at the airport. It is written without vowels and in the sender's own dialect, so the same four letters can mean different things in Riyadh and in Cairo. Telling the tool the dialect is the biggest single improvement you can make.

  • Vowels are missing. علم is 3ilm (knowledge), 3alam (flag) or 3allama (he taught); the model chooses by context and shows its reading on the harakat line.
  • Dialect words. Saudi وِش (wish, what) and أَبْغَى (abgha, I want), Gulf زَين (zeen, good) and Egyptian عَايِز (3aayiz, I want) are not in Standard Arabic.
  • Gender in the verb. Arabic says whether a man or a woman is speaking or being addressed; Tagalog does not, so the information drops out, which is fine for understanding and matters only when you reply.
  • Sentence shape. Both languages like to start with the verb, which keeps the Tagalog natural; the differences are in the Tagalog markers ang, ng and sa, which the model adds.

Tips for better results

Choose Saudi for text from Saudi Arabia, Gulf for the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, Standard Arabic for printed notices and contracts. Paste the whole message; context is what fixes the vowels. Arabic typed in English letters with digits (kaif 7alak, yalla) is understood; paste it as it arrived. To reply, open Tagalog to Arabic and keep the same dialect. The Saudi Arabic page explains the words you will see from Riyadh and Jeddah, the Arabic to English page helps when English is easier, and Arabic transliteration explains the Latin letters under each result.

Frequently asked questions

Does Google Translate do Arabic to Tagalog?

Yes, for Standard Arabic. It has no dialect setting and does not show your Arabic with vowels or in Latin letters; this page does both. Both are machine translation.

Can it read Saudi Arabic from my employer?

Yes. Set the dialect of your text to Saudi; the harakat line then shows how each dialect word was read.

Can I paste Arabic typed in English letters?

Yes. Arabic in Latin letters with digits (arabizi) is understood; you get the Tagalog and the Arabic script with vowels.

Is there an Arabic to Tagalog dictionary here?

No list of entries, but one Arabic word pasted into the box returns its Tagalog meaning, its voweled spelling and its pronunciation.
